Johnny R. Parks II

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Johnny R. Parks II, on August 22, 2024. Born on June 25, 1970, Johnny—affectionately known as Harddrive—was the life of the party and a steadfast friend to all. An Army veteran, he made information technology his career, but had a passion for cooking, motorcycles, and sharing stories from his many, many adventures.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Johnny R. Parks; mother, Etta Parks Jarvis; and sister, Denise Neujahr. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Theresa Gentile; his ‘other mother,’ Carmen Ray; his sons Stephen and Josh; sister, Danya Parks Freel (and niece Amelia); brother Thom (along with the Neujahr family); his loyal service dog, Molly; and countless dear friends.

A private memorial was held on September 14th at his favorite Houston sushi restaurant (if you know, you know).
