Joel Alan Quantock

October 25, 1968 — March 8, 2025

Joel was born was born 10/25/1968 in Fort Worth, Texas and was adopted to Mary Grace Quantock and Russel Alan Quantock. Joel passed onto heaven on March 8, 2025 in Bryan, Texas.

Joel obtained his bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1991 from Texas A&M University. He met the love of his life Donna where they both worked at a prison in Houston, Texas. Their relationship started as he offered to walk her to her car every night when her nursing shift ended. Joel raised her daughter Shanna from a very young age like she was his own. Joel transitioned into software and hardware technical roles for various companies. He was truly a computer genius as his family referred to him. He was able to travel and set up software systems for numerous companies including Oracle, Regions Bank, and Southwestern Bell. He loved taking his family with him on these jobs and when he was done working we would explore the new sites around us. He also loved setting up gaming systems for the whole family to play video/computer games together.

Joel is survived by his loving daughter Shanna Sherwood, Aunt Janie Conner, grandchildren Koby, Kirstin, Vivian, and Matthew, and his sister Melissa (Missy) Tompkins.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents Mary Grace Quantock and Russel Alan Quantock and the love of his life Donna whom he became very saddened by her passing last year. May they all be reunited in Heaven where their happiness may live on.
